定着したオクシモロンと創造的なオクシモロンー関連性理論の観点からー Dead and Creative Oxymoron Relevance-theoretic Approach IDO, Ryo 井門, 亮 open access 定着した/創造的なオクシモロン 関連性理論 推論 アドホック概念構築 復号化 Departmental Bulletin Paper Oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines two contradictory or incongruous words in linguistic meaning. While some oxymorons have become idiomatic and established in expression, literary works sometimes employ oxymorons that rarely appear in daily conversation. Typical examples of the former include proverbs with fixed forms and meanings, such as Isogaba maware (More haste, less speed.), Son shite toku tore (Lose a dime and win a dollar.), and Makeru ga kachi (Sometimes defeat means victory.). In contrast, the latter type of oxymoron conveys a creative meaning and its interpretation is highly context dependent.
