I am not necessarily opposed to constitutional amendments, and I am of the opinion that constitutional amendments may be made if necessary and the conditions are right. However, I am absolutely opposed to the "constitutional amendments to extend the terms of Diet members" that are being discussed under the current administration, and I believe that there is absolutely no need, at least at this point in time, to amend the constitution to create emergency clauses.
