| 内容記述 | The article tries to identify the patterns of industrialization of latecomers in Southeast Asia, i.e., Thailand, in comparison with advanced countries, such as, Japan and South Korea in Asia. The article concludes that the pattern of Thailand’s’ industrialization as the latest latecomer differs from those of other advanced countries, such as Japan and South Korea. This is due to the impact of globalization, particularly, free trade and foreign direct investment in these countries by transnational corporations (TNCs) in the end of the 20th century and early 21st century. These differences may drive the industrial development of the latecomers (direction and limitation), different from those of advanced countries. | |||||||||
