This paper describes the overview of “the Survey on Work and Life of Local Residents” conducted in Maebashi city and Tamamura town, Gunma Prefecture. For this survey, 2,000 individuals (25-54 years old) from 50 neighborhoods were selected using a stratified two-stage random sampling procedure. The survey was conducted from November 2017 to January 2018, and yielded 723 responses (the response rate was 36.2%). After describing the design and outline of the survey, this paper examines the characteristics of the sample through comparison with national population census data. |
