| 内容記述 | For studying the effect of chronic hemodialysis on the humoral immune responsiveness, the concentrations of serum IgM, IgG and IgA, and the titers of anti-streptolysin O, anti-A- and anti-B-isohemagglutinins in 117 chronic hemodialysis patients were determined and compared with those in 116 healthy controls. Serum IgM concentration was significantly retarded in the patients as compared with that in the controls, while no remarkable differences were observed between the concentrations of IgG and IgA in the patients' sera and those in healthy controls. Both anti-A- and anti-B-isohemagglutinin titers which are characteristic IgM class antibodies were significantly lower in the patients than those in the controls. Antistreptolysin O titer which is IgG class antibody was also significantly retarded in the hemodialysis patients. These results suggest that chronic hemodialysis may inhibit the production of both IgM and IgG, especially of IgM antibody. | |||||
