| 内容記述 | The number of lymphocytes significantly decreased in peripheral bloods of chronic hemodialysis patients. OKT4-positive cells decreased and OKT8-positive cells relatively increased in those patients' lymphocytes. Blastogenic responses against both phytohemagglutinin and pokeweed mitogen of their lymphocytes were markedly suppressed, especially in patients with a higher ratio of OKT8-positive cells. These results suggest the secondary immunodeficiency in hemodialysis patients may be resulted from the combination of the decrease in the lymphocyte number with the depression of lymphocyte activities through the increase in the number of OKT8-positive suppressor cells. | |||||
