| 内容記述 | A woman with idiopathic hypoparathyroidism presented with proximal limb weakness, easy fatigability, hoarseness and elevated serum creatine kinase associated with hypocalcemia. As these findings disappeared after normalization of the serum calcium level with treatment, the diagnosis of hypocalcemic myopathy was established. Muscle biopsy showed type 2 fiber atrophy and. Immunohistochemical investigation revealed myoglobin loss from some muscle fibers, suggesting that hypocalcemia itself may produce myopathy associated with myoglobin loss without structural changes. | |||||
