| 内容記述 | In previous research, we demonstrated that lactic acid increased significantly after physical exercise on the treadmil. The purpose of the present study was to identify the effects of hot water bathing on blood components. Lactic acid levels were used as indicators of fatigue. Eight healthy volunteers (5 males, 3 females) with a mean age of 31.9 years were studied. Blood composition was measured before and after a 10-minute hot bath at 40℃. The results obtained showed that lactic acid increased significantly during hot water bathing (p<0.05). However, no significant changes were observed in free fatty acid, growth hormone, adrenaline and noradrenaline levels before and after hot water bathing. These results are comparable with those of physical exercise. | |||||
