| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to confirm what procedures are approciate for the treatment of fractures of the femoral neck in the elderly (averrage 77.8 years, range 65-98). 65 patiants (17 males and 48 females) who had been treated at Shimonita Kosei Hospital between January 1985 and December 1990, were investigated with respect to have what general complications, to choose which methods of treatment and the results of treatment. All 5 patients who had conservative treatment because of extremely poor risk and undesirable operation, died whithin six months after admission. Therefore, we were having conclusion that operative procedures should be chosen primarily for the earlier rehabilitation and the prevention of making worse the general complications. For intracapsular fractures of the femur which displaced (Garden stage III and IV), there were the advantage of the replacemement by Bateman UPF Prosthesis. In inter and subtrochanteric fractures of the femur, we indicated for the osteosynthesis with the compression hip screw system and ACE captured hip screw system, and have had satisfactory results. | |||||
