| 内容記述 | In an attempt to obtain basic data for evaluating food intaike and quality of life in patients after gastrectomy, the actual state of nutritional intake was investigated in these patients for 6 mouths after discharge from the hospital. The subjects were 56 gastrectomized patients who consented to fill in 3-day meal record sheets. During the 6-month course after discharge, the amount of food intake was greatest in the first 3 mouths, but no increase was observed in either calorie or nutrient intake with the course of time after discharge. Food intake was not always consistent with quality of life. When food intake was assessed according to the patient's surgical procedure, the percent intake of fat and Fe was lower in patients after total gastrectomy than in other. Calorie intake did not meet the amount required for basal metabolism in about 20% of patients who underwent total gastrectomy for advanced cancer. | |||||
