| 内容記述 | To accurately assess the actual status of continuing health care and health in women with a past history of toxemia of pregnancy, an interview survey was conducted by means of a physical examination and questionnaire during home visits to 85 women, 18 to 20 years after the onset of disease. The results were as follows: 1. Subjects who had not visited the hospital during the first postpartum month accounted for 50.6% of the total. 2. The survey of health of the 85 subjects 18 to 20 years after the onset of toxemia revealed hypertension in 25 (29.4%), renal disease in 3 (3.5%), cardiac disease in 3 (3.5%), diabetes mellitus in 3 (3.5%) and other diseaes in 9 (10.5%). The prevalence of hypertension was significantly higher in these subjects than in the general population of women of the same age. 3. Of the 25 subjects (29.4%) with an obesity level of more than +20, 13 (52.0%) had hypertension. The above results indicate the necessity of long-term continuing health care for women with a past history of toxemia of pregnancy. | |||||
