| 内容記述 | The frontal dominant monorhythmic slow bursts detected in patients with epilepsy were classified into a frontal intermittent rhythmic delta activity (FIRDA) group with a frequency of 1.5～2.5Hz and a 3Hz group with that of 3Hz. The FIRDA group were older in age, and many of them were diagnosed as partial epilepsy. The cases with partial epilepsy were unexceptionably those with symptomatic epilepsy, and many of them were with brain organic disorders, such as cerebrovascular disorders and brain tumors. In the 3Hz group, many were with generalized epilepsy and all of them were those with idopathic epilepsy. As to administered medicines, VPA was put to frequent use. On EEG findings, many cases in the FIRDA group had focal sharp waves and spikes. The basic ground activity with a frequency of less than 8Hz was often observed in the FIRDA group. In situations where patients with epilepsy have slow wave bursts, the clinical significance varies, depending on whether the frequency is 3Hz or downwards of 2.5Hz. Many were with idopathic epilepsy in the 3Hz group and with symptomatic epilepsy in the group with less than 2.5Hz, suggesting that there exist brain organic disorders as a causative factor. | |||||
