| 内容記述 | We produced a nursing standard manual to accept patients with HIV/AIDS at the general ward. Four patients who were nursed according to this manual are reported. The manual is summarized as follows. 1. Concerning the prevention of infection, different measures are taken between the period of an symptomatic carrier and that after the onset of HIV infection. 2. To tell the patient that he/she has HIV/AIDS, the patient is hospitalized for about 1 week. Nurses primarily perform mental care while confirming patient's reactions after pronouncement. 3. Daily life guidance after discharge is performed so that the patient control the disease and prevent infection by himself/herself, and the patient and family may not entertain unnecessary apprehensions. 4. Nurses closely listen to patient's complaints. Secret is strictly kept, and nursing intervention without prejudice or discrimination is advanced. Using this nursing standard manual, HIV antibody-positive/AIDS patients could be accepted at the general ward. | |||||
