The stepwise increased load is increased by the frictional resistance or the pedalling speed. The purpose of this　study was find out which the frictional resistance method or the pedalling speed method is the optimal load for the  aerobic work capacity. The subjects, 22males (16―32yrs) were 10sprinters and 12distance runners.
