| 内容記述 | Taste preference for sourness in male and female rats were studied by the Two-bottle choice method, using citric acid solution with 1.0, 5.0 or 25.0 mM concentration and deionized water. The amount of the acid solution consumed was the greatest at the 1 mM level in both sexes. The choice rate at this level was significantly higher in the female than male rats. At the 5 mM level the choice rate was higher in female, again, but at the 25 mM level no sex difference was observed, both sexes showing very low choice rate. The day-to-day check of choice rate for the 1 mM solution disclosed a difference in the response to the solution between male and female, that is, the choice rate of the former was higher for the first few days than that of the latter, then declined, but the reaction of the female was opposite. The choice rate for 5 mM citric acid solution was always higher in female than in male. Advancing with age, preference for sour elevated in female but unchanged in male. | |||||
