本論文では,これまで開発したPET像とCT像上の病変検出システムが誤検出した拾いすぎの候補領域を,PET像上の正常構造を認識することで削減する処理について報告する.従来のシステムは,PET像とCT像の位置合わせ,両画像からの主要臓器の抽出,PET像からの異常候補領域の検出,および,それらの判別処理からなる.本研究ではこのうち,異常候補領域の判別処理に注目し,PET像上の脊椎や腎臓を精密に固定することで,これらに対応する拾いすぎを削減する.また,11症例に適用した結果を示し,提案手法の有効性について考察する.\n\nThis paper reports a novel reduction method of false positives extracted by the previously developed CAD system for PET and CT images by understanding normal structure in the PET images. The system consists of four steps; registration of PET and CT images, segmentation of organs from both images, detection of candidate regions from PET images, and discrimination of the candidates. The proposed method eliminates the false positives corresponding to kidney and spine in the last discrimination step by precisely identifying their regions in the PET image. This paper shows the result of applying this method to the images from 11 patients and the discussion about its effectiveness. |
