| 内容記述 | Recently, the number of companies which have introduced "group ware" have increased. "Group ware" refers to software programs that have been created to support groups dealing with specific jobs. Other than Email, group ware would normally include electronic notice boards and schedule management, document management and other functions. Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange could be considered to be typical "group ware" programs. Japanese computer makers are now lining up their own original software programs, and word has it that some of these are already being shipped out to users. However, according to a survey of users which appeared in the February, 1997 edition of "Nikkei Computer" with regard to the uses of those companies which intend to introduce "group ware" programs, the following data was obtained. (1) Email, over 40% (2) electronic notice boards and information collaboration t rough a data base, 30% (3) work flow management and other business system cons ruction, less than 10% In this manner, while many companies have already introduced "group ware" into their operations, the only basic functions which are actually being utilized to any extent are the "Email" and "electronic notice board" functions. Only a very small percentage of those companies have yet to take advantage of the "document management" function, which was the main strength of the essential design of the programs and, likewise, only a few of these companies have been able to accomplish any results by using the "information collaboration" function. Therefore, it is my intention to focus upon this "information collaboration" function within this report by dealing specifically with the following three issues : (1) the situation in certain advanced companies which have already been utilizing the "information collaboration" function on a trial basis, I (2) Issues regarding the introduction of a "information collaboration system" in the future, (3) furthermore a survey of the "intelligent properties management" function which is the ultimate objective of an "information collaboration system" | |||||
