| 内容記述 | This study examined the description of ‘Competition’ and related phrases in “Elementary School Curriculum Guideline” and “Junior High School Curriculum Guideline” to determine how competition is used as part of the teaching material in Physical Education subjects. The results are summarized as follows: 1 . In “Elementary School Curriculum Guideline”, the following learnings are seen with the use of ‘competition’ in various activities: (1) the acceptance of ‘winning and losing’ (‘track and field’ exercises and ‘ball games’ exercises), (2) ‘how to compete’ (‘track and field’ exercises), and (3) ‘how challenge to compete and records’ (‘track and field’ exercises). 2 . In “Junior High School Curriculum Guideline”, the following learnings are seen: (1) the acceptance of ‘winningand losing’ (‘track and field’ and ‘swimming’), (2) ‘enjoying the competition’ and ‘experiencing the joy of competing when winning or losing’ (‘track and field’, ‘swimming’, and ‘ball games’), (3) ‘developing offense and defensive strategies’ (‘ball games’ and ‘martial arts’). 3 . ‘Competition’ as learning content is utilized based on students’ developmental stage and domain characteristics, from the viewpoint of the competencies aimed at the development. | |||||||
