Immunocytochemical measurements of lymphocyte blastogenesis in cell smears with antibromodeoxyuridine monoclonal antibodies were investigated. In this method, neither radioisotopes nor special apparatus except for a CO_2-incubator are necessary, and accurate values can be obtained without difficulty. Additionally, these values correlate closely with the results obtained by the tritiated thymidine method. Therefore, it was suggested that this method is clinically useful as a screening test for lymphocyte blastogenesis. |
